Grumpy me..

Super grumpy today.. Cuz im tired.. Woke at 6plus this morning... N was out the whole day for classes n all.. N now my flatmates has frens over talking & laughing darn loudly.. Irritating me alot cuz my room is nearest to the kitchen.. N the noise gets damn annoying...
N considering that im suppose to be a noisy person.. N im now irritated by the noise.. tells u how noisy they are.. *roll eyeballs*
Adding on to the fact that they walk in n outta the flat slamming the freaking main door...

Playing my own music to shut out their noise..
Listening to the CD charmaine burned for me... My all time favourite genre of music...
Listening to them never fails to calm me down n soothe me after a long day.... N set the mood for sleeping...

Smth not very pleasant happened today while i was out..
-->> An obvious show of racial discrimination...
Happened on the public tram on our way back..
The tram was crowded so we were standing...
This australian guy that was sitting down, suddenly raised n put his feet on the seat that my fren had put her grocery bag on.. Just after my fren placed her stuff there.
So my fren just removed her stuff n moved away from that asshole.
After that kinda act, we were like "alright.. mad man... just ignore him la.. "
Subsequently, the asshole walked towards the doorway of the tram preparing to alight..
I was standin at the doorway... N he kinda squeezed (not really squeezed as althou i was standing near the doorway, i was NOT blocking the damn exit) behind me to stand directly in front of the door... His legs/pants brushed pass my leg.. N he kinda gave the disgusted snort as thou i was the one who touched him.. n said 'fucking asians.. blah blah.. fuck.. blah blah..'
I only caught tt two words n the 'F' word... But it was enough to tell me he's a racist piece of spider shit.. N probably as smart as an amoeba..
So as i am in a foreign land, no choice rite? Just ignore.. Thou i turned around to look at him..
No i din glare.. Thou my look din look too frenly..
Felt real offended though... Cuz this guy obviously looked like a citizen on welfare..

First taste of real racist attack... Which made me feel real indignant...
Half the aussie folks probably have not ever travelled out of their suburb or state.. Nor out of their country.. Their knowledge of other countries are limited..
N alot of them dont even know where spore is.. When i mention 'alot of them', i meant pple i met in Uni..
N the common response from all of them is 1) we can speak english.. 2) Our english is very good..
Sighh..... come on man... English is Spore's main language for education.. (yea yea.. i KNW our 'main' language is malay...) After our PSLE, our GCE O'Levels, GP in A'Levels etc...
Our english had better be of a certain standard...
duhh...

N they insult asians in this manner... When we help fuel their economy in a way...

Anyway.. Cabs here go by 10cents per 5 secs... I was damn shocked.. As i saw the meter ticking away.... For a 45 mins trip, the cab fare was abt AUD70..
I love Spore's cab alot man.... Looking back, it was dirt cheap to me.. hahahaa...
*NO mom.. i din pay for the cab.. Paid by Uni for our trip to this place... *

This place i went had such a wide range of assistive technology n devices.. Motorised Wheelchairs/Electric scooters/trolleys/prams/computer aids etc etc...
A resource that we in Spore lack... Cuz of funding issues..
Here, u can get these expensive aids paid for by welfare funding...

I'd say... If u are disabled, living in Spore will add to ur disability n depression..
Coming to Aust, the OT in me feel real excited.. Seeing pple who r the elderly or disabled, moving abt freely n independently on the streets.. No social stigma or rude stares...
Different environments...... Different culture... Different social norms..





This is the area where all the wheelchairs/ scooters are... Each motorised wheelchair is normally custom-made to suit the client/patient's conditions and needs.









Okie.. Nothing new.. Smth all of us OTs have seen n played with so many times..
But for non-OT pple... These are just assistive aids for eating...












Okay.. My new dream car... hahaha...
I love the colour..
Plus its so cute n small...
Though i think if i put on too much weight, i will have problems getting in...
hehehe...
n it will probably topple while getting out..
