Freezing cold.. Nutty weather

These two days have been freezing coldd....
Its about 10degrees or below in the day.. N even lower at nite..
Im looking like a blue penguin again...
Took out my winter jacket n all...
Not only is it cold.. its raining alot too...
Annoying bad weather... sheeshh...

N oh shit.. My heater just died on me.. Im hopin its not spoilt or the wire burnt out or wat...
IF not... arghghghhh!!!! Not only will i end up without a heater.. BUT the heater does not belong to me.. *headache*

Melbourne's weather is really nuts..
Tmr n the whole weekend is suppose to be much warmer/hot..

Dad's been called up for his angiogram test...
So at present, he's in hospital... Test will be held tmr..
I hope it will all be ok n that the test will produce positive results..

The most annoying thing happened last nite..
I was baking my fish fingers in the oven...
N when i came out to retrieve it...after 1/2 an hour..
it was gone!!!!!!!!!
wahh.. i was seriously fuming mad... I could strangle someone..
If that blardy fucking asshole stole from the freezers n all.. fine..
NOW stealing from oven..
I hope he/she dies from food poisoning..

Lately.. really missing home alot..
I guess partly, its cuz the gang tt im close to have went home..
N its like... i miss the food.. hahaa...
n of crrse the pple back home...
sighh......

Alot of us in Spore tend to complain alot of about at home..
Firstly the Govt, then the salary, then the living standards, then this n that n this n that..
One thing about leaving Spore n living somewhere else...
Is that u really learn to appreciate home alot more..
Yea.. Spore is expensive n all.. Govt rules us all..
But then again.. I realise tt.. Sporeans r really damn pamperred..
We complain at the slighest bit n blame the Govt alot..
Someone (an expat) once told me.. tt the price of Globalisation is that living standards goes up..
or smth along those lines.. That to advance further in technology, economy etc, there will be a price to pay.. So i guess... in a way, living standards in spore is gonna go up further too..
Esp with the blardy GST hike.. haha.. There must be loads of complaints going on in spore now abt this.. haha..

I myself am guilty of complaining of course.. heee... But having spent the last 4mths here..
U grow to realise how really fortunate Sporeans are in alot of ways..
N how really bad our manners are.. hahaa... I wonder is it just a sporean thing or an asian thing..
I've grown so used to havin pple greet u with a 'how u doing?' or 'how's it going?' all the time..
I remember when i first came, i took awhile to learn to response in return.. hahaa..
N its like.. chattin with strangers on the bus/tram/busstop is nothing out of the ordinary..
Okie la.. i know im very talkative by nature.. But in Spore, i wont talk to strangers on the streets.. Even in the damn lifts, i dont think i even speak to pple i see day in day out..
So its really enjoyable being able to just have a casual conversation...
The other day, i was at the tramstop n it started raining.. It had no shelter..
So i offered to share my brolly with this guy that was waitin for the tram too..
(i mean.. i cant possibly happily stand there under my brolly n pretend tt guy din exist while he stood in the rain rite?? While it was pouring.. That would have been totally inhuman.. N no,he's not a cute guy or wat.. he's probably my uncles' age.. Im not such a superficial slut..hhaha..)
Anyway, in the end.. i had that guy tellin me all abt his day... N how he suffers frm gender discrimination in his job.. HAHA!! It seems that, guys are discriminated against in the teaching / childcare profession here.. Which was what he was doing.. Reason being.. too many cases of sexual harrassments/abuse by male teachers.. Guess, females aint the only gender being discriminated in Jobs.. So we had this interesting conversation going abt gender discrimination in various jobs.. hahaaa...


I kinda saw an example of a typical sporean behaviour the other day when i was out..
On the tram to the city.. we bummed into this lady that was obviously Sporean..
(anyway,after comin to aust, i realise how distinctive Sporean speaks.. in our Sporean slang.. haha)
She was askin the tram driver where to stop to get to Chinatown.. But the tram driver did not bother answering her.. So she sat back down n we decided to help her out.. N give her directions.. So my fren turned ard to speak to her..
N the first thing that she said was to complain about the tram driver.. Saying that why he is so grumpy n rude not to reply etc etc.. Which kinda turned us off...
Cuz... firstly, its a rule tt u dont speak to tram drivers while the tram is in motion.. Not allowed to distract them.. Secondly, seeing how eager she was to grumble n complain..
N the other major turn off thing she said to us, after knowing tt we are studying here n heading to the city to 'shop n eat'.. was ...'"wahh.. so loaded ah.."
*roll eyeballs* i mean.. wat the hell does she expect us to do in the city? Bask on the streeets?!
Where is the grace and warmth?? Then again, Sporeans aint famous for showing any..
haaa...
I know im gonna get shot for criticsing my own countrymen.. But its smth really awful to witness.. No wonder pple have bad impressions of Sporeans..
